| Indexes using the Soundex indexing system exist for the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky (part), Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia (part).
The Kentucky counties are: Bell, Floyd, Harlan, Kenton, Muhlenberg, Perry, and Pike. The West Virginia counties are: Fayette, Harrison, Kanawha, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, and Raleigh. |
